40 years of reform and opening-up of China, 25 years of progressing of Meyer
The reform and opening-up of China started in 1978, when China was ready to enter an era of passion, innovation and cooperation. South inspection speeches presented in 1992 by Deng Xiaoping, known as the general designer of the reform and opening-up of China, encouraged Chinese overseas cities to forge ahead and dare to make mistakes, eliminating old laggard thought and ensuring the right direction of development. At this very moment, a middle-aged man of forty named Tian Ming, was thinking about exploring his own business by taking the ship of reform and opening-up. Only one year after that, Hefei Ancoo Optoeletronic Inc., the predecessor of Hefei Meyer Optoelectronic Inc., was founded by Tian Ming, an engineer in the field of optoelectronic identification in China, taking the vision of guarding food safety for Chinese with him.

In the past 40 years of rapid development, China has become the significant industrial products base and consumption market in the world. The Chinese government attaches great importance to the quality of export industrial products, which motivates Meyer to be an important player in the field of industrial inspection.
Taking tyre inspection as an example, China has gone through an era where western products, expensive without timely after-sale service, occupied large parts of Chinese market. Until 2011, responding to the requirement of market, Meyer launched its first X-ray inspection machine for tyres, also the first one in China, achieving the intelligent inspection for tyre defects.
